Customers Love Ratio Clothing

I'm very particular about oxfords (OCBDs), and the quality of the cloth and craftsmanship at Ratio are top notch. The algorithm results are pretty damn good (a little better than Proper Cloth's, I think, even with fewer questions), and the options for unlined collar, etc., definitely make for a near-custom experience. It's a smaller operation, I think, but I like that.

I’ve tried a few online custom shirtmakers, but I’ve decided to go with Ratio from now on. One thing in particular I’ve noticed about Ratio’s shirts is the collars. Ratio has the best collars. For me, this is the most important part of a shirt. You can input your shirt dimensions, and make adjustments to get a perfect fit. However, if the shirtmaker has a bad collar, there’s little you can do to fix it. This shirt in particular has a great collar too, with a nice mid-weight fabric. Great to pair with jeans. This shirt doesn’t wrinkle easily. A workhorse for more casual days.

Ratio has great fabrics and construction at a good price. Like any custom shirt, you will likely need to tweak measurements a few times to reach your ideal fit so I would start off with a less expensive fabric until you have it dialed in and wear/wash that shirt multiple times before making adjustments. Also, in my personal experience, it is better to build blueprints with more room if you like a bit more comfort. I found the algorithm skewed a bit too slim for my preference but once adjusted slightly I loved the fit.

I had been looking for a particular style of shirt for a long time. I was happy when I finally found it on the Ratio Clothing site ... and even happier with the experience of getting the shirt made. The initial fit was not ideal, but that was easily addressed, and this has already become one of my favorite shirts. The whole ordering and fitting experience was smooth and easy, the ability to personalize the shirt just the way you want it is amazing, and so far, the quality for the price is outstanding.

I have a medium build and an XL neck, so finding off the rack shirts that fit and that I can button under a tie was impossible. There are certainly other made-to-measure outfits ot there, but Ratio has always been the most transparent, most responsive, most helpful. Add the amazing selection of fabrics, the range of details and design features, the responsible sourcing and sewing, and the (once standard, now optional) made in the USA value and I won't get button/collar shirts anywhere else.

Very customer friendly and easy to make an appointment, get fitted and find the perfect shirt. Ability receive and try on shirts, and send feedback for a second version is amazing. Best fitting and styled shirt I've ever had, which as a 6'6" person has always been a huge challenge.

Great overall experience. My first shirt was close, but not quite right. A fit advisor recommended changes based on some photos and the remade shirt was spot on. Ordered two more and each one I receive becomes a new favorite. Great service, and I appreciate the transparency of their "fair markup guarantee". Willing to pay more for quality.

They get it right, even when you don't know what you need. Shout out to Evan for going the extra mile to help me understand and dial in my fit. Looking forward to many more shirts.

Ratio is the best. I now get all my button down shirts from them. The fit, fabrics, quality of construction, and personal, customer service are all outstanding. I cannot speak more highly of their products and service.

Definitely a great experience and product. I think a lot of people, myself included, rightly would compare Ratio to Proper Cloth. But Ratio's service is more personal touch. And the collection is more curated -- a positive -- with cloths that stand out. I find the oxford to be world class -- again, another big positive for all the hardcore oxford fans out there. The algorithm seems pretty solid, and the quality of the tailoring is absolutely terrific.
