Description

Overview

The Gray Rivington Check features tonal grays on a white ground. The neutral combination of grays makes this shirt easy to pair with any combination of gray suits, trousers, sweaters, or ties in your closet.

The Rivington is made in the same construction as our Madison Twill, a European-woven fine twill made from 100’s two-ply yarns--a customer favorite and our top-of-the-line dress shirt quality. At 129 GSM (that’s “grams per square meter”), it’s light enough to wear year-round, but with just enough heft and density to make it stand up to the rigors of a 12-hour day.

World-class fabric finishing and fine twill weave give it a chemical-free wrinkle resistance that adds to its long-wearing durability and clean drape, ensuring you’ll look sharp from early mornings to late nights.

Fabric is a little stiff and scratchy at first, but it softens up after the first wear or two. The primary color of the shirt is a very subtle, almost white gray that works nicely with the darker gray stripes that form the checks.

Basic shirt but I love the colors. When I wear with black/grey pants the stripes look gray. When I wear with putty colored pants, the stripes look putty. Magic. Nice thick fabric doesn't wrinkle.

High quality material. A little shiny.

This fabric has a classic dress shirt feel - not too heavy, not too light. I'm boring, so grey is my favorite way to branch out from blue shirts, and the color and pattern are perfect.

Decent fabric, however, it is not wrinkle resistant at all. I always have to iron it before I wear it. This aspect is disappointing, considering it is shown under the "easy care" selection of fabrics. It is opaque enough that you don't need to wear a undershirt.
